The Trinity House Project

As a group, the Design and Digital Arts students, had to research, design, create and advertise a one-off lighting event based at Trinity House in Edinburgh – a forgotten Maritime Museum hidden in Leith. We produced an event based on the Trinity House Motto “pervia virtuti sidera terra mare” (the stars, the earth and the sea are conquerable by men of courage) and transformed three areas of the museum to represent the stars and navigation; the sea and port; and the men of courage. The event was a huge success that saw Trinity House receive more visitors in one night than it did for the whole of the 2010/11 season.
